Bill Gates, meet aquaponics. Aquaponics, Bill Gates. "Bill Gates to world: Spend more on farming" 01/26/2012
Bill Gates knows that " 1 billion live in extreme poverty and struggle to find food every day. Together we can choose to do something about it." But, he doesn't mention aquaponics as a possible solution to that problem. Could it be possible that he's unaware of the existence of aquaponics despite the fact that ecoTECH (based in Seattle, WA) recently received " a 5 year supply purchase contract of approx $12 million dollars per annum from one of Canada's largest supermarket chains?" Voice of America radio recently did a 5 minute piece about aquaponics as well - Aquaponics Could Signal Future of Food. But, if it turns out that Bill G. missed out on both these stories, June Stoyer's The Organic View radio program (over 1 million listeners globally) is doing a show about aquaponics today with guest Sylvia Bernstein - who wrote the book Aquaponic Gardening and started a great online aquaponics community a few years ago. Tune in, Bill! CommentsJeroen 01/26/2012 12:57
Great introduction... In my mind it's nothing more than natural that these two would get acquainted. ;-) Wouldn't for instance All Gore be great to have in this introduction too?

It would be great if Gates could put the weight of his foundation behind this anti-hunger effort.

Alan, there should be tweet and like options directly below the bottom of the post (in this case below the video). The options on the website for adding more sharing options are unfortunately limited. On my list of things to look into someday, lol.

Great way to spread word of mouth about an important topic Alan. I am a huge fan of sustainable food production and this is brilliant. Thanks for the introduction.
